Shown beneath the iron-and-glass structure of the Bourse de Commerce, the collection unfolded in half-light, mirroring the emotional terrain it set out to explore.
Vaccarello has cited Giovanni&rsquo;s Room by James Baldwin as a key reference, and the connection is less literal than atmospheric. Baldwin&rsquo;s novel is about desire, guilt, and the quiet violence of self-denial, and those tensions run through the collection in restrained but deliberate ways. This was not masculinity built as armor. It was masculinity exposed, held together by discipline rather than bravado.

The tailoring remained sharply controlled, unmistakably Saint Laurent, but it breathed differently this season. Double-breasted jackets with strong shoulders softened as they traced the body, narrowing at the waist without exaggeration. The effect was neither rigid nor romanticized, but poised, deliberate, and slightly uneasy. Trousers sat high and fell cleanly, stopping just above polished Oxfords to maintain a continuous vertical line.
Long coats, trench silhouettes in leather and vinyl, and silk ascots introduced a sense of private ritual, as if the men dressing here were preparing themselves before stepping into the day.
