In an exclusive interview, Robert Pattinson reflects on his journey as the face of Dior Homme Parfum, shares his thoughts on the art of fragrance and opens up about the joys of fatherhood.

With the launch of the new Dior Homme Parfum campaign in early January, the highly anticipated release of Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon-ho, set to premiere in February, and his baby with English singer-songwriter and actress Suki Waterhouse turning one in March, it&rsquo;s safe to say that Robert Pattinson is kicking off 2025 with an eventful start.
Having been the face of Christian Dior Parfum&rsquo;s signature fragrance since 2013, Robert Pattinson continues his partnership with the Maison as it debuted the new Dior Homme Parfum last month. Created by Francis Kurkdjian, this updated version pays homage to the timeless iris. &ldquo;For this new perfume, I worked on the idea of the entire iris, from flower to root,&rdquo; Kurkdjian shared in a press release. &ldquo;I envisaged it as a powerful olfactory &lsquo;backbone,&rsquo; with an ethereal stem of fragile petals rooted in a potent rhizome that revealed sensual and expressive notes, with a hint of caffeine that is almost chocolatey.&rdquo; Striking a perfect balance between strength and softness, the scent encapsulates the duality of the modern man.
To celebrate the launch, we spoke with the English actor, who stars in the campaign film I&rsquo;m Your Man, shot beautifully in New York.

How would you describe the new Dior Homme Parfum in three words?
Clear, sensual, intentional
Does Dior Homme Parfum resonate with your personal style? Could you share some stories or special experiences you&rsquo;ve had with this fragrance?
Dior Homme is so malleable, which is important for me because I don&rsquo;t want to be tied down to one identity. I want to be able to be free to adapt and Dior Homme seems to fit with any situation.
You have been the face of Dior Homme for quite a while now (since 2013). What does it mean to you? Do you enjoy this role?
To be with Dior for so long is such an honour for me. It is now one of the longest professional relationships I&rsquo;ve had in my life. I&rsquo;ve grown up working with the same people there and it&rsquo;s always such a pleasure to work with them.
What are your thoughts on this new chapter for the Dior Homme campaign?
I think this new chapter in the campaign has such a deep sensuality to it. And also a relaxed maturity that probably comes from being so comfortable around everyone I work with at Dior.
What does &ldquo;I&rsquo;m Your Man&rdquo; mean to you today?
Maybe that versatility might just be the secret to real masculinity.
At what time of the day do you apply your fragrance? And where?
Mainly in the morning so that by the evening you&rsquo;ve really made it your own. I&rsquo;m more used to wearing fragrance at night when I have plans to go out. I give one spray and walk through it.

Perfume is often described as capturing certain emotions or moods. Similarly, acting involves channelling emotions and portraying characters in an authentic way. How do you see the process of crafting a fragrance mirroring the process of developing a character for a role?
I definitely haven&rsquo;t done one of those things, but I can definitely say they both seem equally mysterious. You search for wildly disparate elements that you feel an emotional connection to. And then do a deep dive into trying to synthesise all the elements into a whole greater than its parts.
You&rsquo;ve taken on a wide variety of roles in different genres. How do you choose your projects, and what do you look for in a script?
It&rsquo;s not something I can look for, and I wish it were, but really the scripts I choose are some level of a no-brainer whether it&rsquo;s what&rsquo;s on the page or the people putting it together. Sometimes the gap between page and screen is as mysterious as making a fragrance or preparing for a role so there&rsquo;s a lot of trust and risk. I remind myself to sit comfortably with that even though I never do.
Have you ever considered exploring other areas of the entertainment industry, such as directing or producing?
I started a production company and couldn&rsquo;t be more excited about producing and the projects we are putting together. More soon!
How has becoming a father changed your daily life and routine?
Earlier mornings and earlier evenings but everything is filled with much more joy.
What are some of the greatest joys you&rsquo;ve experienced since becoming a father?
Simple things like hearing your child laugh for the first time is overwhelmingly beautiful.
