The designer taps into childhood memories, football culture, and French style for a collaboration with Nike and the French Football Federation.

For Simon Porte Jacquemus, football has always been about more than the game itself. It's memories of growing up in the south of France, conversations that stretched across cafés, and the kind of shared experiences that bring entire communities together. Those memories now serve as the foundation for a new collaboration between Jacquemus, Nike, and the French Football Federation (FFF), with support from youth-focused organization Sport dans la Ville.
At the center of the collection is a simple piece of clothing: a navy Nike track jacket that Jacquemus remembers from his youth. Ordinary on paper, perhaps, but symbolic in the way football uniforms often are. They're clothes that create belonging, identity, and collective memory.

That idea runs throughout the collection, which takes cues from football culture in the 1990s while filtering it through Jacquemus' distinctly French point of view. The silhouettes are clean and understated, the proportions carefully considered. Blue, white, and red appear throughout, while classic football stripes are reworked in a way that feels more refined than overtly sporty.
Rather than relying heavily on technical performance fabrics, the collection leans into more traditional materials, giving the pieces a timeless quality that extends beyond the pitch. The result feels less like football merchandise and more like a wardrobe inspired by the culture surrounding the sport.
The collaboration also reflects football's growing influence beyond stadiums. Today, the game shapes music, fashion, design, and youth culture around the world. Jacquemus embraces that reality by creating pieces that feel equally suited to match day, city streets, and everyday life.

One of the collection's standout pieces is a special jersey that will be worn by players from the French national team during pre-match warmups at major international fixtures this summer. It's a visible expression of the partnership, bringing together performance, national pride, and design.
The project's reach extends beyond clothing, too. Through its involvement with Sport dans la Ville, an organization that helps support and create opportunities for young people through sport, the collaboration carries a social dimension that feels particularly meaningful. More than a fashion collaboration, the project celebrates what football means in France. The memories it creates, the communities it brings together, and the way it continues to shape culture far beyond the final whistle.
