Behind the Lens with UNIVERS’ Newest Campaign
With 'Between Takes,' the brand’s latest campaign brings the behind-the-scenes crew to the front of the frame.
Behind every striking fashion editorial or campaign are the creatives who work tirelessly, often without proper recognition, to bring a vision to life. With its latest campaign, Between Takes, UNIVERS shifts the spotlight to these behind-the-scenes forces — the stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, and movement director — as it unveils its Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
Shot by renowned photographer Regine David, the campaign features models Siobhan Moylan and Suraj Aku alongside a dynamic cast from Manila’s underground creative scene. There’s Roko Arceo’s instinctive, freeform styling; Pam Robes’s effortless approach to makeup; Mong Amado’s sculptural take on hair; and Mano Gonzales’s animated movement direction.
Each creative steps in front of the camera in a curated edit from UNIVERS’ Spring/Summer 2025 lineup — sharp, quietly assertive pieces from Noir Kei Ninomiya, Kiko Kostadinov, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Y-3, and Carne Bollente. Caught mid-motion, the images linger in that in-between moment of movement and stillness, highlighting not only the garments but the collaborative energy that brings them to life.
The tribute continued offline on April 23, as UNIVERS hosted an intimate gathering at its Greenbelt 3 store. The night unfolded with a runway show featuring the season’s key looks and marked the debut of Jacquemus and Casablanca in the UNIVERS lineup.
With Between Takes, UNIVERS captures fashion in motion and repositions the frame, honoring the often-overlooked creatives who shape each scene from just beyond it.
