Another&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/dior">Dior</a>&nbsp;Cruise collection meant another runway show with a celebrity-filled front row on Tuesday. Creative Director&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/maria-grazia-chiuri" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maria Grazia Chiuri</a>&nbsp;presented the new womenswear against the pictorial backdrop of Villa Albani Torlonia in Rome, Italy, marking the estate's first time hosting a fashion event like this. A-list guests clamored to get in on the action.
The Italian villa's immaculate gardens welcomed guests as they waited for the show to begin. Those in attendance included former&nbsp;L'OFFICIEL&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/natalie-portman-lady-in-the-lake-interview-dior" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cover star</a>&nbsp;Natalie Portman, Ashley Park, Deva Cassel,&nbsp;Camille Cottin, Maria Fernanda C&acirc;ndido, Alexandra Daddario, and Rosamund Pike. The tally of sheer dresses was high, with Park and Daddario among those wearing see-through garbs that showed their bras and underwear alike.&nbsp;Before the show began, these stars were surrounded and enthralled by interpretive dancers as they performed with delicate refinement through the gardens.&nbsp;
The runway show almost seemed to have a dress code for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/celebrities">celebrities</a>. Though neither the designer nor brand announced anything public about it, there seemed to be a binary dress code for A-listers where the women wore white (or just off-white) and men wore black. (This shouldn't be a huge surprise, given how neutral-heavy the brand's runway shows and collections tend to be.)
From the picturesque setting to the dress code, everything about the evening seemed deliberate and all in the name of aesthetics. The designs themselves included Chiuri's signature whimsically structured silhouettes and sheer pieces, a trend that appears to be here for yet another season. They aligned with her and Dior's interpretation of femininity and the promise of creating pieces that truly understand women. Plus, the collection paid homage to Italian artisanship and Dior's heritage, including in elegant and traditional Dior designs through Chiuri's perspective.&nbsp;
