From Canvas to CASETiFY: Heart Evangelista’s Artful Tech Moment

Heart Evangelista’s life has always been a rich canvas. This June, the global fashion icon, artist, and style muse unveils a new form of creative expression: wearable tech. In an exclusive interview with L’Officiel Philippines, Heart opens up about her dream-turned-reality collaboration with cult-favorite tech accessory brand, CASETiFY — a collection that turns her most beloved artworks into statement pieces you carry in the palm of your hand.
“I think it’s been over a year,” Heart shares, reflecting on the beginnings of the project. “First, I manifested my whole team. We're obsessed with CASETiFY and everything that comes with a CASETiFY case. And it was just a dream.”
The Heart Evangelista x CASETiFY capsule is about soul. Designed for those who crave beauty in the everyday, the collection features pieces that mirror Heart’s emotional and artistic evolution. From soft pastels to mermaid muses and floral intricacies, each case is a window into the chapters of her journey as a woman and as an artist.
“You always want to, in a sense, be immortalized,” she muses. “And the best way to immortalize your soul is to do a painting. But to put it on CASETiFY — even better.”
Launching June 5, the collection is a visual memoir rendered in acrylic brushstrokes, muted elegance, and powerful femininity. Featured artworks include Alexandra, created in 2014 and reminiscent of Heart’s earliest explorations in art, and Fashion Week, a tribute to the many empowered women Heart has encountered (and embodied) through years of front-row appearances in Paris and beyond.
“My favorite would be all the pastel ones,” she says. “I also like the ones that represent Fashion Week… different personalities. It’s a different vibe for each. They're all my favorite.”
There’s a graceful shift in the tone of her new work — what she calls a “maturity” that reflects her current mindset: calm, assured, quietly powerful. “Some paintings are still very colorful, which is what I usually would create in the past,” she explains. “But mostly, my paintings now are a bit more muted, a bit more ladylike. And I wanted that because that’s really how I felt at the present time.”
Heart’s collaboration with CASETiFY is, at its core, an ode to women. “I wanted each piece to feel like a celebration of self-expression and empowerment,” she says. “Something women can wear, use, and truly feel seen in.”
And that’s the essence of the collection: an extension of one’s identity through tech. The pieces exude a fashion-forward sensibility with a dose of sentimentality, marrying function with flair in true Heart fashion.
“As simple as a cell phone case,” she notes, “it’s almost equivalent to putting on the best shade of lipstick.”
