The week-long event sees Ancán, Bagas&aacute;o, Kelvin Morales, JMakitalo, and Proudrace showcase their Spring/Summer 2023 collections in the hip Tomigaya neighborhood.

Five Filipino lifestyle and fashion brands are heading to Tokyo this summer for a seven-day Pop-Up at the Esmeralda Serviced Department (ESD) in Shibuya, Tokyo. From June 24 to 30, Ancán, Bagas&aacute;o, Kelvin Morales, JMakitalo, and Proudrace will showcase their Spring/Summer 2023 collections at one of Tokyo's coolest multi-brand stores in the hip Tomigaya area.

ESD was founded in 2017 as an online shop by a Japanese fashion photographer and a former fashion editor. With loyal fans requesting for a brick-and-mortar store, ESD opened a physical shop in 2022, a creative space that also doubles as a gallery, exhibition, and pop-up venue for exciting upcoming brands and artists from all over.

"Each of the five brands in the Pop-Up have a strong story to tell through their designs; their unique and interesting take on basics such as shirts, pants, dresses, and accessories are hard to find in Japan so I think they will find a market for their products with our clients at ESD. I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce them to our fashion community here in Tokyo," said Coco Kanayama, director and co-owner of Esmeralda Serviced Department.

The Pop-Up is a project of Tetta Ortiz-Matera of LIT Fashion Consultancy in support of the local Filipino fashion industry.
