After selling out stadiums and releasing a companion film, The Weeknd is stepping into a more grounded ritual: the morning brew. The artist—real name Abel Tesfaye—has teamed up with Nespresso to launch Samra Origins, a coffee collection named after his mother and rooted in his Ethiopian heritage. It’s a tribute to the traditions he grew up with, where coffee wasn’t just a drink—it was a way to bring people together.
The collection debuts with the Togetherness Blend, a rich double espresso made with 100 percent African Arabicas. Lightly roasted to preserve its brightness and depth, the blend combines washed and unwashed beans for a cup with sweet honey and woody notes. Tesfaye calls it “a reflection of gathering, sharing, reflecting.” And if iced coffee’s more your thing, there’s a sleek Samra Origins tumbler featuring The Weeknd’s personal latte recipe (complete with oat milk, vanilla syrup, honey, and cinnamon).
