The culinary world is grieving today as news broke that Margarita &ldquo;Gaita&rdquo; For&eacute;s, the celebrated Filipino chef and restaurateur, has passed away at 65. Her son, Amado, announced her passing in an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/amadofores/p/DF7YuPWzagg/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> post.
For over 30 years, For&eacute;s shaped the way people experience Filipino cuisine. She built a culinary empire that included Cibo, Grace Park, and Lusso. Known for blending Italian techniques with Filipino ingredients, she made her mark by pushing boundaries while keeping things close to home.

In 2016, For&eacute;s was named Asia&rsquo;s Best Female Chef. She was also a key figure in Madrid Fusion Manila, helping showcase local ingredients and talents internationally. She leaves behind a legacy filled with bold flavors, meaningful stories, and a deep passion for Filipino culture.
