Turns out, the encore is just getting started.

Jay Chou has officially closed the curtain on Carnival, a six-year world tour that spanned 110 shows and countless cities, ending with an emotional final performance in Shanghai. For an artist marking 25 years in the industry, it could have been a natural stopping point. Instead, Chou is already sketching out what comes next&mdash;and it&rsquo;s more intimate than anything he&rsquo;s done before.
<a href="https://www.lofficielph.com/hommes/jay-chou-interview-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In our cover story</a>, the Mandopop icon revealed that his upcoming 2026 tour will break from the usual one-title-fits-all format. This time, every city will have its own exclusive concert title, each inspired by a color, mood, or memory tied to that place. It&rsquo;s a concept rooted in his own songwriting history, where lyrics by longtime collaborator Vincent Fang have long revolved around colour&mdash;&ldquo;Black Humour,&rdquo; &ldquo;White Windmill,&rdquo; &ldquo;Blue Storm,&rdquo; &ldquo;Pink Ocean,&rdquo; &ldquo;Golden Armour,&rdquo; &ldquo;Moulin Rouge&rdquo;&mdash;almost like a musical spectrum.
&ldquo;I feel every city has a color that belongs to it,&rdquo; Chou says. Some locations have already lived inside his lyrics, like &ldquo;Shanghai 1943.&rdquo; Giving each stop its own identity, he explains, turns the tour into something more personal, like a keepsake shared between artist and audience.
It&rsquo;s a move that reflects where Chou is now: reflective and intentional. The L'Officiel Hommes December cover star is deeply aware of the bond he&rsquo;s built with fans who have grown up alongside his music. His new album is still in the works, and details still remain under wraps.
From what we know though, Jay Chou&rsquo;s next milestone looks to be about connection: one city, one colour, one moment at a time.
