Maison Francis Kurkdjian has some well-loved cult favorite scents in his range of fragrances. He crafted the beloved Baccarat Rouge 540 that’s woody and floral and sweet and the Aqua Universalis selection with fresh and simple citrus notes. So if you’re on the lookout for a new scent that gives off the similar airy and refreshing feel as the Aqua Universalis but a bit more sensuous and lingers a little longer, then the Dioriviera is worth trying out.

As Francis Kurkdjian was in Provence, the nature surrounding him was part of the creation of the Dioriviera fragrance. The breeze, sun, and fig trees were elements that inspired the perfume. The Perfume Creation Director of Dior created this fragrance as the first in the La Collection Privée.

The Dioriviera was worked on in Paris. The flower-fruit duo brought together green and floral notes with those that were warm and smooth. Francis Kurkdjian was able to find what Christian Dior loved about his favorite place which was Provence, and he put that same feel into the Dioriviera.

The Dioriviera does not need to stand alone when worn. The floral and fruit notes can be complemented by an outfit worn. Since wind, leaves, flowers, and trees were behind Francis Kurkdjian’s innovation, it would be fitting to match that energy with clothes that enhance the Dioriviera. Think crisp linen, brighter hues, and simple jewelry–pieces that make the perfect European summer ensemble.
