L'Officiel Philippines talks to makeup artist Peter Philips about the new Dior Forever powders that promise an imperceptible, filter-like finish with no retouching required.

Dior Beauty is once again raising the bar for flawless skin with the launch of the Dior Forever Nude Matte Filter and Dior Forever Nude Radiant Filter &mdash; two setting powders designed to deliver the effect of a beauty filter, without the screen.
Infused with hyaluronic acid and developed with the French maison&rsquo;s longwear expertise, both powders are crafted to extend foundation wear, hydrate the skin, and create a smooth, imperceptible finish. Whether your preference is shine-control matte or luminous radiance, Dior Forever now offers a couture solution for every complexion goal.

The Nude Matte Filter delivers what Dior calls a &ldquo;matte-not-flat&rdquo; result: an ultra-fine, airy texture that blurs pores and smooths skin irregularities, keeping shine at bay for up to 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Nude Radiant Filter is a glow-enhancing formula suspended in a semi-transparent base, enriched with micro-shimmer for a subtle lit-from-within effect. Both can be used over foundation, on bare skin, or even together for a custom-finish look.
When L'Officiel Philippines spoke to Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Christian Dior Makeup, he described how these powders complete the Dior Forever complexion wardrobe:
"This one is a blurring makeup finish which is more in sync, maybe with the identity of Forever, and it merges in perfectly&hellip; The range of shades is very strong but accessible, so it&rsquo;s not too intimidating. It&rsquo;s a beautiful, balanced-out shade range, and the formula has everything to make it work as a new texture to discover and to play with and to have a beautiful makeup result for somebody who wants a natural makeup or somebody who wants a bit more present makeup.&rdquo;
Peter also spoke about his philosophy when it comes to choosing the right complexion product:
&ldquo;No matter your skin tone&hellip; it can be a bit of a labyrinth out there. Once you want to find your perfect shade, it can be a bit intimidating because there are so many possibilities. First of all, you have to find out for yourself your natural skin tone. Do you want to enhance it or do you want to correct it? Those are already two totally different approaches&hellip; My advice would be to go to a counter and get physical advice. Physical try out&hellip; don&rsquo;t just go by what you see on the screen.&rdquo;
And while the powders are intuitive and easy to use, Peter stressed the importance of real-world testing:
&ldquo;Ask for a few samples, and play with them at home&hellip; because when you apply it on a counter, there&rsquo;s always different light. Live a day with that foundation or powder, see how the color evolves, and combine it with your skincare routine. Once you find something that you&rsquo;re happy with, it&rsquo;s a good base to construct all your looks. It&rsquo;s worth taking the time.&rdquo;
