Pilates instructor and wellness advocate Kim Santos has turned her personal journey with scoliosis into a mission to make mindful movement accessible for all. Since discovering Pilates in 2019, she&rsquo;s embraced the philosophy that movement, nutrition, and overall wellness are interconnected. &ldquo;When we move our bodies with intention, fuel ourselves mindfully, and surround ourselves with a supportive lifestyle, it creates balance that&rsquo;s both sustainable and enjoyable,&rdquo; she shares. Through her brand, every.day pilates, Kim emphasizes consistency over extremes, designing programs that help individuals build lasting habits for strength, mobility, and confidence. She sees the Philippines&rsquo; wellness landscape evolving toward inclusivity and education, where sustainable practices become part of everyday life. &ldquo;At our studio, students are inspired to become instructors themselves, creating a ripple effect that empowers more people to care for their bodies safely and mindfully,&rdquo; Kim notes. Her approach proves wellness isn&rsquo;t a trend but a lifestyle.
Here, we speak to Kim about her wellness philosophy and what mindful living is really about.

Hi Kim, to start, what first drew you to Pilates and a healthier lifestyle, and at what point did you realize you wanted to turn your personal passion into a professional path?
I&rsquo;ve been doing Pilates since 2019, when I started looking for ways to strengthen my spine because of scoliosis. It completely changed my life and inspired me to share it with others by turning my passion into a profession.
Your work combines movement, mindful eating, and a wellness-forward brand. How do you see these different aspects coming together to create a more sustainable and balanced lifestyle?
For me, movement, mindful eating, and wellness all go hand in hand. They&rsquo;re not separate pieces but parts of the same puzzle. When we move our bodies with intention, fuel ourselves mindfully, and surround ourselves with a supportive lifestyle, it creates balance that&rsquo;s both sustainable and enjoyable. It&rsquo;s not about extremes, but about consistent everyday practices that make you feel good and allow you to feel your best in the long run. That&rsquo;s why I created a brand that&rsquo;s accessible for everyone &mdash; something they can be consistent with and do every day to build good habits that lead to visible, lasting results.
From your perspective, how has the wellness culture in the Philippines evolved over the past few years, and what unique challenges or opportunities do you see compared to other countries?
In the Philippines, I&rsquo;ve seen wellness culture grow so much over the past few years. People are becoming more aware that health isn&rsquo;t just about looking a certain way, but about feeling good, moving well, and building habits that support their overall lifestyle. Compared to other countries, accessibility and education around wellness can still be a challenge here &mdash; but that also means there&rsquo;s a huge opportunity. We have such a strong sense of community, and when wellness is made approachable and inclusive. I think that&rsquo;s where the future of wellness here lies: creating spaces and practices that are sustainable, accessible, and truly part of everyday life.

What inspired you to start your own wellness-forward brand, and how do you ensure that it aligns with your personal philosophy and values in health and wellness?
What inspired me to start my own wellness-forward brand was my personal journey with Pilates and finding ways to care for my body, especially with scoliosis. I experienced firsthand how consistent movement and mindful habits can create real, lasting change, and I wanted to share that with more people. With every.day pilates, I make sure everything we do reflects my own philosophy &mdash; wellness should be accessible, sustainable, and something you can practice every single day. It&rsquo;s not about quick fixes, but about building a lifestyle that helps you feel your best.
Where do you see the Philippine wellness industry heading in the next five years, and how do you hope to contribute to shaping that future?
I see the wellness industry in the Philippines becoming more inclusive and education-driven in the next five years. There&rsquo;s a growing awareness that wellness is not just a trend but a lifestyle, and people are seeking safe, effective, and sustainable ways to care for themselves. At our studio every.day pilates, I&rsquo;ve seen many of our own students &mdash; who were inspired by their experience with us &mdash; go on to certify as instructors, and some are even opening their own studios. That inspires me so much, because it means we&rsquo;re not just growing a community of practitioners, but also empowering future teachers who will support and guide others on their wellness journeys. That ripple effect is exactly how I hope to contribute to shaping the future of wellness here.
